
Nadia is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in private practice in Houston. After many years of working in the field of education, Nadia went back to school to get her Masters in Social Work at the University of Houston. After this she completed a fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in the LEAH (Leadership in Education and Adolescent Health) program. The clinical work involved working on a multidisciplinary team on the adolescent eating disorder unit at Texas Children’s Hospital. Nadia then worked for several years as a family consultant and clinical coordinator at a therapeutic school in Houston, working with children, teachers and parents. Nadia’s interest in working with family systems shows up in her work with individuals, couples and groups. She has done additional training in the Gottman method and in Emotion Focused Therapy and enjoys working with people to repair, strengthen and enhance significant relationships. Nadia has done training in psychodynamic psychotherapy at the Center for Psychoanalytic Studies (CFPS – Houston) and is also trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Nadia’s style is relational and her therapeutic orientation is based on responding to the unique needs of each individual and family unit. Her interests include helping people navigate transitional times in life and helping people live richer and more meaningful lives by feeling more connected to the ones they love.
